What are conductivity meters and where can they be used?

A conductivity meter measures the amount of electrical current or conductance in a solution. Common in any water treatment solution, conductivity meters monitor the amount of dissolved salts in the water. They have multiple applications in hydroponics, aquaponics and freshwater systems, as well as being a way to measure changes in many process systems including cooling towers and wastewater procedures.

How does a conductivity meter work?

The pocket waterproof tester will float in water and give you the flexibility to monitor water conditions in rugged conditions.

The EC1 is a simple to use, accurate, reliable hand held meter which has been designed to handle the tough environment of field work. The instrument provides the user with readings for conductivity/ TDS and temperature providing maximum simplicity.
