DSEAR General Awareness Training – aims/objectives

The training will enable delegates to understand their legal obligations and in turn help the employer comply with their legal duty DSEAR 2002 Regulations.

Who is the DSEAR General Awareness Training course suitable for?

The course is aimed at employees who the employer believes can demonstrate the ability to apply the correct Knowledge, attitude and Skills for working within the above 
environments to identify potential DSEAR situations. 

DSEAR General Awareness Training – course overview

Upon completion of the DSEAR Regulations Awareness course, delegates will: 

  • Have an understanding of the DSEAR 
    2002 Regulations
  • Have an understanding of Hazardous 
    Area Classification for areas they work within
  • Understand the need for competence when selecting and maintaining 
    suitable apparatus for Explosive (Ex) atmospheres
  • Be able to identify the contents of an explosion protection document that 
    forms part of a suitable and sufficient risk assessment.
