
First Aid at Work Requalification Training
This course will provide an update to the knowledge of those employees who have previously completed a first aid at work training course. First aiders who hold a certificate that has expired must complete a full first aid at work training course.

On completion of the course delegates will be able to:
• Manage an incident
• Priorities of first aid
• Identify the legal duties of employers
• Demonstrate the treatment of an unconscious casualty
• Conduct resuscitation / CPR You will also learn how to deal with:
• Heart attacks
• Choking
• Asphyxiation
• Shock
• Bleeding
• Fractures
• Burns
• Eye injuries
• Poisoning and exposure to harmful substances
• Minor and major illnesses
• Common workplace injuries
• The correct use and management of first aid kits
• Appropriate record keeping
This course contains 5 practical and 2 theory assessments. Upon successful completion, delegates will be awarded a certificate that is valid for 3 years, within which time requalification is required.
